Focus Features is releasing a new film called A Monster Calls. It’s a story of a young boy who copes with his mother’s terminal illness by using his imagination to create fantastical creatures, specifically a large tree monster, voiced by Liam Neeson. The movie will open in theaters on January 6th, but Portlanders will have an opportunity to see the movie on January 4 at Pioneer Place with a 7pm start time.
