Nike gave us a look at their newest thing in innovation today with the reveal of their Flyknit Ultra cleat. Used as a small preview as what Nike has to offer us in the future, the Flyknit Ultra is the perfect blend of their modern Vapor, with their future technology. The Flyknit Ultra features a new version of Nike’s Flyknit material. On their usual Flyknit cleats, Nike coats a one-piece flyknit upper with a silicon layer to add shape and durability. The Flyknit Ultra material features a silicon coating on each individual thread. This allows for a softer feel, less break in time, and an even better fit on your foot. The upper utilizes horizontal speed ribs for added ball control. The outsole is the same as what you find on the current Mercurial line. It has an anatomical soleplate and chevron studs for very aggressive traction when sprinting and taking on players.
