Albert: A Small Tree with a Big Dream, a fir-iffic and festive holiday special from Nickelodeon is making its DVD debut on November 14, just in time for the holidays! Albert: A Small Tree with a Big Dream, tells the story of Albert, a tiny Douglas fir tree who dreams of becoming Empire City’s most famous Christmas tree. Along with his friends Maisie the palm tree and Gene the weed, he begins the trip of a lifetime to make all of his dreams come true. On their journey, they encounter the villainous and prickly Cactus Pete and even a swarm of hungry rabbits, but along the way, they discover the true meaning of friendship and teamwork – while saving Christmas along the way.
Albert is one happy little Douglas fir tree that lives with other plants in a place called Earth Mama. One day while they were all watching TV, he saw that they were searching for the world’s famous Empire City Christmas tree. Albert truly believed he qualified and was going to Empire City. He and along with his friend Massie and weed named Gene hitch a ride on the back of a truck. At a truck stop, they get out and met some nasty Cactus – Roy aka Prickly Pete is the worst. Even though they lost their ride, and had a narrow escape from a paper mill, and had to run for their lives from plant-eating bunnies and had to deal with more nasty encounters with Prickly Pete, they still managed to make it to Empire City. Even though he wasn’t picked as the most famous tree, he saw the beauty in the holidays.
