If you like playing with the latest tech, you may have grabbed one of those early virtual reality (VR) headsets like Google Cardboard. They were a great proof of concept, though a tad expensive and very clunky. On the high end, you have your Oculus and OTC Vibe headsets that ultimately cost over a grand or two when you factor in the cost of a new high-end computer system to run and control the VR environment. On the entry-level front, you have more headsets that use your mobile phone as the display and runtime environment. Bring up a VR app on your phone, place the phone in the headset, and you have a lightweight VR environment.
