SoapBerry Laundry Detergent is made from organic soapberries that are grown in the Himalayan Mountains. They are farmed sustainably and support local farmers in Nepal. They also add in some aloe vera for softness. The detergent doesn’t use synthetic surfactants (chemicals) or the typical natural choices (coconut, palm, corn that can often be farmed with toxic pesticides, chemical fertilizers and can be genetically modified). The small bottle looks similar to other detergents. It’s 32 fl. oz. The difference you’ll notice is the pump on top. Instead of needing to fill a cap to do a load of laundry, all you need is a few pumps (2-3 for HE for small loads, 4-5 for a medium load or 6-7 for a large or extra dirty load).
One bottle is enough for 128 HE loads which brings your laundry cost down to about 15 cents a load! I love saving money and am happy that I don’t have to lug heavy product home from the store or find the storage space for it. It does take a little bit of getting used to, if you’re in the habit of pouring a big full cap of detergent into the washer. You may be skeptical about only needing a few pumps. Once you’ve tried it and realize that you really only to need a little, the pumps will become habit.
