Uscolia is about a group of people on an island who have set up studios instead of schools. The studios act as a place for kids to gather and the learning happens naturally. While it may seem hard to believe, it is real. When we trust kids and let them take control of their education and life, they will do surprising things. Kids do not need to be taught but rather they need to experience life.
Uscolia is a book written from the point of view Gabriel. He not only went to this island by mistake, but he took his knowledge back home and applied it to his own son. Uscolia ends off with many stories of how Gabriel looked back at his experience and set up his home for this son’s education. The story is amazing how one child could learn so much without being taught.
