It’s a fairly simple little device that is designed to cut onions quickly, easily and in a uniform manner. The chop wizard is essentially a grated shelf that you lay half of your onion on. Then you close the lid which presses the onion down onto the grated shelf, cutting the onion as it passes through. With the Vidalia Chop Wizard, you just remove the peel on each onion, cut it in half and press. With less cutting of each onion, the onion scent isn’t as strong and it doesn’t bother my eyes as much. Plus, the grid is a uniform pattern so the cut pieces are all the same size. The chop wizard comes with two different size grates, which will produce different sizes of veggie pieces.
